Our Profile

The Management Education Industry has witnessed a huge change in the demand-supply dynamics this decade. This change has affected India, especially after the 2008 recession causing an excessive supply of MBA seats in comparison with its demand. Such an environment enables the top 30 B-Schools to continue on attracting the best of talents. However, with more than 3 lac MBA aspirants in India itself, the competition among the remaining B-schools (offering 3500 MBA programs according to latest reports) is compromised on the right quality of students. Most test-prep centres including IMS, TIME, CL and others are primarily focussing on matching the level of the students with the requirements of the top 50 B-Schools in the country and have come up with test-prep centric business models (preparing students for various entrance exams such as CAT, CET, ATMA and GMAT, MAT). This results in a 95% (approx.) gap in the Management Education Industry wherein, either the institutes are struggling to attract the right set of students or the students are falling prey to dubious institutions. Certain Universities are also struggling to support their affiliated Institutions (reports suggest that in 2010, the University of Pune admitted students without CET results for the 1st time in its history) hence causing the scarcity of the right talent in the over-crowded marketplace for the industry.

In such a fiercely competitive and dynamic environment we have spotted these 4 major stakeholders in the Management Education Industry:

Management Institutions – B-Schools

MBA Aspirants

Government Bodies

Corporates

Experts from the Management Education Industry indicate a major consolidation in the industry and yet we realize a constant need to support/supplement the stakeholders in this industry. In the year 2005, the promoters of ASBS MBA envisioned the rise of such a situation and established a private limited company with a clear objective of providing solutions to MBA Institutions and other stakeholders of the industry. ASBS MBA is an attempt by experts from the MBA industry to provide appropriate solutions in a structured corporate environment.

Though the focus of ASBS MBA is purely a B2B approach, it also takes pride in supplementing the MBA aspirant’s efforts so as to secure a B-School seat. The concept is backed by more than 100 empanelled faculty members & professionals from leading organizations and is promoted by the former Director of IMS Learning Resources.
